Do you know about the Modern Quilt Guild’s block challenge? The challenge was to make a modern block using the MQG’s color palette. Elizabeth Hartman is choosing 20 of the submitted blocks to create a quilt which will be raffled at QuiltCon, next February in Austin, Texas. Susan and I are founding members of the Richmond Modern Quilt Guild, and participated with other members in our chapter.
Elizabeth is featuring blocks in daily blog posts – mine was included in the 8/30 post, in a collection of chevron blocks – what fun!
It is so inspirational to see the variety of designs. If you already love Modern Quilting, you’ll love the blocks. If you aren’t quite sure what all the fuss is about, take a look – there’s a freedom to the creativity that is so exciting, you may get hooked yourself!
