Welcome to our new website!
I know, I know, we haven’t posted for a while, but here’s a little of what we’ve been up to:
The sample yardage for our new line, Poppy Love, came in right after Spring Quilt Market. We are loving the colors. All of the editing, redesign and color-changing was worth it! This line will make its official debut at Quilt Market in October as the 2013 Michael Miller Clubhouse fabric.
Poppy Love will be available in two color ways, Vibrant and Vintage. Here are a few pieces of Vibrant:
and a few from the Vintage colorway:

We have designed the 2013 Clubhouse Quilt and all of the Bonus Projects. Here is our Whimsical Wall Hanging turned into a pillow:
We working on several projects featuring our new Monogram Buttons from Dill Buttons. We designed these button with nine holes so you can stitch letters and numbers in them. We will have tutorials soon on our Free Projects page.
Our quilt, Christmas Pie, will be featured in Best Christmas Quilts. The magazine will be available soon so stay tuned for details on winning great prizes in conjunction with this publication!
We also designed a quilt for Quilter’s Newsletter’s Best Fat Quarter Quilts 2012. This magazine won’t be on sale until late December, but here is a little peek at our quilt, Preppy. Don’t you love the quilting? It was quilted by Virginia Longarm.
Hmm, what else have we been up to?
In June my son, Chance, graduated from high school.
And in July, Christine’s son got married! Here is Derek with his beautiful new wife, Jacqueline. Aaahhh, young love…
You may know that Christine and I are REALLY getting into painting furniture. On July 20th we took a road trip with our friends to the ribbon cutting ceremony for The Empty Nest in Warrenton, Virginia. The Empty Nest is owned by our painting teacher, Janet – she is fabulous! You can see one of my projects here.
Once we got inside we were too busy shopping to get many pics, but you can read all about it and see Janet’s creations on her blog here.
While in Warrenton we stopped by Kelly Ann’s Quilting to load up on goodies!
As members of the Richmond Modern Quilt Guild, we created blocks for the QuiltCon Block Challenge. Read about the Challenge here.
Here is Christine’s Challenge block – don’t you love its 3-Dness?
Here is my Challenge block:
We are sponsoring and vending at the Modern Quilt Guild conference, QuiltCon, in February – so exciting!
In fact, we have a lot of wonderful adventures ahead. Check out our Schedule page to see where we’ll be. This weekend we will be in Maumee, Ohio. I will be teaching our Ring Toss pattern on Friday at Quilt Foundry and we will have a trunk show there on Friday night. Check out their website here for details. We will be at the Checker Distributors Open House on Sunday and Monday. This Open House is a wholesale event for shop owners, click here for details.
Take a look around our new site and check back as we will continue to add to it!
